Today is Rafael’s 30th birthday (Welcome to the Dirty Thirty Club). We want to wish Rafael a very happy, healthy and fun birthday today. I’ve been a massive fan of Rafael since the first moment he step foot on the screen on 9-1-1 Lone Star and I’m extremely thankful for Rafael for all the causes he stands behind and allowing himself to be his true authentic self! Happy birthday, kid. I’m so proud of you. I’m proud of the parts you fold to become digestible, but most importantly and most intentionally, of the parts you try to vehemently, and yet, so unsuccessfully, hide from world. You are a devastating, indomitable hurricane of emotions. You feel too much, you are too sensitive. You’re impatient. You think you’re good at lying but the Truth sits on you. It takes more or less 26 seconds to change your opinion about something you felt so feverishly about. You are a purebred Gemini. Like a baby, a spoonful of Love softens your cries. Stop fighting. He’s not asking you to learn how to swim, He’s asking you to be Water. I’m proud of how you don’t know how to not be yourself.
